Workday Information

Workday is a secure and confidential campus information system available online. You need your university ID and password to view your information. Once you log into the system, you will see only those menu options that are appropriate for your profile. For example, if you are a staff member, you will not have the option to view work-study jobs.

Who can login: current students and faculty/staff, and those who were enrolled or attended 1996 and later.


Student Workday Options

  • update in-session or interim address
  • print enrollment certification
  • register for classes
  • view/print grades
  • view or print a current term or future term class schedule
  • verify address and other personal information
  • print unofficial transcript
  • order official transcript
  • review, accept/decline, release financial aid; sign up of direct deposit of excess funds
  • view and pay university bill online; print bill information
  • print 1098T tuition summary statements for tax reports
  • view residence hall information
  • search for jobs on and off campus
  • sign up for direct deposit for payroll; view payroll information
  • CyCash
  • third party Access (grant access to a trusted third party (e.g., family member)

  • graduate students: view program status

Name Changes

While most student information changes can be made through Workday, name changes are processed via the Registrar’s Office in room 010 Enrollment Services Center either in person, by mail, or by email at academicrec@iastate.edu. Two of the following forms of identification with the students' new name must be provided:

  • Passport
  • Driver’s license
  • Social Security Card (be sure to cover or redact SSN before emailing)
  • Military ID
  • Marriage certificate
  • any legal document
  • Green Card

Remember, when changing your name, you will also need to update your ISU Card. If you are a university employee, you will need to also contact Human Resources.


Third Party Access in Workday

Third party access is an option in workday that allows students to grant access to selected personal information to a trusted third party. For example, Third Party Access allows a student to set up a special account for a parent or family member to view their grades and/or pay their university bill.
