Graduation Information for Advisors

Reports to Assist Advisors:

  • Academic Period Start and End Dates:
    • This report has the start date and end date of each academic period. This report can assist advisors with expected completion date (ECD) changes, as the end date of each academic period is the ECD for that term.
  • Academic Progress Report Degree Completion Review
    • This report returns students who have applied for program completion and their academic progress status utilizing in-progress registrations.
      • If a student's only missing requirement is meeting the total academic requirement (TAR), the last two columns of the report will be blank.
    • Prompts include academic record, primary undergraduate academic advisor, primary college, primary program of study, expected completion period, and an option to display only students who met all requirements using in progress courses.
    • This report does not analyze any advisory program information, except University Honors.
    • This report replaces the legacy e-report titled “Advisor Early Degree Audit Review for Graduating Seniors”.
  • Academic Progress Report Degree Completion Review - Upcoming ECD with No Application
    1. This report returns students who have not applied for completion and their academic progress status utilizing in-progress registrations.
    2. Prompts include academic record, primary undergraduate academic advisor, primary college, primary program of study, expected completion period, and an option to display only students who met all requirements using in progress courses.
    3. This report lists what students have met all requirements using in-progress courses but have not applied for program completion. Also, which students have an upcoming expected completion date (ECD) and have unmet requirement(s).

As you are reviewing your graduates, keep in mind that every effort has been made to replicate configuration and degree audit adjustments made in uAchieve. However, should you find discrepancies we ask that you:

  1. Email academicprogress@iastate.edu if you find situations where the APR configuration does not match the expected behavior. For example, let us know if:
    • A requirement is missing from a student's APR
    • A course which should apply without an override is not doing so
    • Transfer coursework is being included or excluded inadvertently
  1. If a student is needing a final 32 credit waiver, we ask that you follow the instructions located here: https://iastate.service-now.com/esc?id=kb_article&sysparm_article=KB0024058

If an override was necessary in uAchieve, and we have missed an override in our migration to Workday Student, we kindly ask that you replicate the override in Workday. Instructions can be found here: https://iastate.service-now.com/esc?id=kb_article&sysparm_article=KB0022866
